Academic advising is provided by a team made up of professional staff advisors who are also professional artists. Meetings are not required until the final year but are strongly encouraged. All students must meet with an academic advisor to be cleared for graduation.
Working with the student, advisors review the student's records, including transcripts, questionnaires, essays, and other documents, course selections and student input to advise the student on a path of study.
Advising appointments may be scheduled by calling 617-369-3612 or e-mailing Julie Boudoukara at jboudoukara@smfa.edu or stopping by the Academic Affairs Office. The Academic Affairs office is located on the 2nd floor, B-side of the main building.
