IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Beginning this semester, you will be required to verify some of your personal information on mySMFA before you can register. During the registration process, you will be prompted to update your local address and emergency contact information. Once you are prompted, you should click the text "Complete the Local Address and Emergency Contact Update Form." You will then be required to verify/edit the information we have on file for you. Once you have completed the form (filling in all required fields) and clicked Submit, you'll be directed back to registration.
  • New undergraduate students are required to meet with an academic advisor before they register. To schedule an advising appointment, please stop by the Academic Affairs office or email Julie Boudoukara at jboudoukara@smfa.edu .
  • Tufts registration runs from November 3-14 for graduate students and November 6-14 for undergraduate students. Register on SIS for academic courses taught at Tufts. Undergraduates who have questions about Tufts registration may stop by Academic Affairs or call at 617.369.3612. Graduate students may stop by the Graduate Programs Office or call 617.369.4107.
  • ProArts and Northeastern cross-registration information will be coming soon!
CE COURSE CREDIT POLICY UPDATE
Due to accreditation standards mandated by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), effective beginning spring 2015, SMFA students will no longer be able to enroll in the School’s Continuing Education courses on a credit-bearing basis. NEASC accreditation requires that coursework toward an undergraduate or graduate degree meet specific academic standards—CE courses fall outside of these educational requirements. Students interested in taking a CE course(s) may do so; however, the course(s) will not be considered part of their official SMFA-Tufts degree program or its requirements.

Should you have questions, please feel welcome to contact the Registrar's Office at 617.369.3621 or registrar@smfa.edu.
