On-Campus Housing

On-Campus Housing

SMFA offers on-campus housing through Wentworth Institute of Technology. The dormitory building includes offices for Wentworth Residence Life staff, a game room, study room, mailroom, auditorium, laundry facilities and vending areas.

A typical suite consists of a living room, two bathrooms and several bedrooms. The living rooms are furnished with couches, lounge chairs and coffee and end tables. Bedrooms are furnished with a bed, desk, desk chair, bureau and closet for each student. Internet/network connections are provided for every student and each suite is equipped with a cable jack in the suite's living area, providing cable free of charge. Students may live in suites with 4–14 people, with bedroom options of singles, doubles, triples or quads. Dorms are staffed by a full-time Residence Director and several Student Resident Assistants.

Housing costs and fees for 2012-2013 are posted on the Tuition and Fees Page of the SMFA Website or look here
 http://www.smfa.edu/files/Housing_Information.pdf for on-campus housing information.

Off-Campus Housing

Most Museum School students live off campus in Boston's diverse and interesting neighborhoods. Our Student Affairs Office provides current listings of available apartments, roommates, realtors and alternative accommodations; plus office resources to support your search, including telephones, Internet access and bulletin boards.

If you plan to live off campus, you should start your housing search three to four months before the fall semester and two months before the spring semester.

Visit ProArts Connect's housing section for a bulletin board of available roommates and housing opportunities.
